Drain the tank and refill it. Change the fuel filter.

Unless youve updated the smog on it…the gasoline should be okay. If youre worried about it then just syphon it out and use it for your lawnmover. ;) You might though, change the oil and filter and air filter. :) The carburator may need cleaning or the fuel filter. Those things that turn, move and filter all should be checked.

I highly recommend draining old gas out and starting new but you can buy a product called seafoam at your local Orrielly parts store.

Add gas run it as low as you can then change the filter and re-fill.. Should be okay, may not run the best till the old stuff is out.. Also add a bottle or 2 of gas dry it will help with any water in the tank… Good Luck

Well one of the things you are missing here is rubber.
If it has an electric fuel pump and it is in the tank, the pump might run, but it will not pump gas. The pump connects to the fuel line with a rubber fuel line, About 4 inches long. If this car has bad gas you can bet assure that the rubber is now eaten away.
If you fill it up with gas and you have to drop the tank, it will not be easy. Gas is heavy. best thing to do here is drop the tank and replace the pump.
Most of the time a pump sitting that long will not run anyway.

you could add new gas to the tank. but if there is rust or any thing else in the tank, the only real thing you could do is drop the tank and clean in out.
